comply with local, state and federal regulations. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation’s foremost
standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.
Patient Satisfaction
For more than a decade, Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital has enlisted NRC+Picker, one of the nation’s leading healthcare research firms,
to measure our patients’ experience. Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital hospitals consistently scores above the national average in two very
important categories: “Would You Recommend” and “Overall Quality of Care.”
Outcomes Measurement
Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital utilizes the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSmr),
the rehabilitation industry’s most widely recognized outcomes measurement tool, to monitor overall
patient outcomes. This system measures the effectiveness of our hospital's rehabilitation programs by
evaluating and tracking a patient’s functional status upon admission, discharge and post-discharge to
document the level of disability and to assess the effectiveness of rehabilitation. UDS also allows Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital to
benchmark its rehabilitation program against regional and national performance data.
